# LibTmux.remove_environment

- **Module:** LibTmux
- **Package:** LibTmux
- **Language:** Julia
- **Kind:** function

```
remove_environment(
    connection::LibTmux.ControlConnection,
    scope,
    name::AbstractString;
    kwargs...
)
remove_environment(server::LibTmux.Server, scope, name::AbstractString; kwargs...)
```

Mark the variable for removal from new process environments.

## Methods

### `remove_environment` (overload 1)

```julia
remove_environment(
    connection::LibTmux.ControlConnection,
    scope,
    name::AbstractString;
    kwargs...
)
```

Mark a variable for removal from new process environments, masking an inherited global value. Return `ControlResult`; this does not mutate processes already running in panes. Scopes and controls follow the control `set_environment` method.

```julia
remove_environment(connection::ControlConnection, scope, name; kwargs...)
```

### `remove_environment(server::LibTmux.Server, scope, name::AbstractString; kwargs...)`

## Parameters

- `scope` (`Any`)
- `name` (`AbstractString`)
- `kwargs`
- `server` (`LibTmux.Server`) (for `remove_environment(server, scope, name, kwargs)`)
