```
select_pane(connection::LibTmux.ControlConnection, target::LibTmux.PaneRef; kwargs...)
select_pane(server::LibTmux.Server, target::LibTmux.PaneRef; kwargs...)
```

## Methods

### `select_pane(connection::LibTmux.ControlConnection, target::LibTmux.PaneRef; kwargs...)`

[Source](https://github.com/libtmux/libtmux-julia/blob/f3da513be1225d36d5854cd8db5972c01857578e/src/control_topology.jl#L86).

Focus the exact pane within its physical window on the pinned daemon. This does not select that window in a session; use `select_window` with an explicit link for that. Return `ControlResult` after the completion fence.

```julia
select_pane(connection::ControlConnection, pane::PaneRef; kwargs...)
```

### `select_pane(server::LibTmux.Server, target::LibTmux.PaneRef; kwargs...)`

Focus an exact pane within its physical window. This does not select a linked window in any session; use `select_window` with an explicit link for that. Generation checks are best effort and share the operation deadline.

```julia
select_pane(server, target::PaneRef; kwargs...)
```

## Parameters

- `connection` (`LibTmux.ControlConnection`) (for `select_pane(connection, target, kwargs)`)
- `target` (`LibTmux.PaneRef`)
- `kwargs`
- `server` (`LibTmux.Server`) (for `select_pane(server, target, kwargs)`)
