# LibTmux\Connect-TmuxServer

- **Package:** LibTmux
- **Language:** PowerShell
- **Kind:** function
- **Source:** https://github.com/libtmux/libtmux-powershell/blob/b06c64f844f3173de66b187eaeaf3915814318c6/src/LibTmux.PowerShell/ConnectTmuxServerCommand.cs#L7
- **Page:** https://libtmux.org/en/powershell/latest/reference/libtmux-connect-tmuxserver/

```
Connect-TmuxServer
    [-Server] <LibTmux.Server>
    [<CommonParameters>]
```

Discover the server at an explicit endpoint.

Accept a native [`LibTmux.Server`](/en/csharp/latest/reference/libtmux-server/) handle and discover its live server generation. An unmaterialized handle produces a connected replacement. An already connected handle is returned unchanged. Use [`Get-TmuxSnapshot`](/en/powershell/latest/reference/libtmux-get-tmuxsnapshot/) to acquire the hierarchy.

### Notes

This command borrows the daemon. Errors preserve the core exception; [`-ErrorAction`](/en/powershell/latest/reference/libtmux-connect-tmuxserver/#LibTmux%5CConnect-TmuxServer.parameter.ErrorAction) Stop terminates the pipeline.
