tmux command: [`refresh-client`](/en/tmux/latest/manual/refresh-client/)

```
libtmux.Server.refresh_client(
    self,
    target_client: str | None = None,
    request_clipboard: bool = False,
) -> None
```

Refresh a client's display via [`$ tmux refresh-client`](/en/tmux/latest/manual/refresh-client/).

Requires an attached client.

## Examples

```python
>>> with control_mode() as ctl:
...     server.refresh_client()
```

## Parameters

- `target_client` (`str | None`): Target client (``-t`` flag).
- `request_clipboard` (`bool`): Request the clipboard from the terminal (``-l`` flag,
``tty_clipboard_query``) — the runtime companion to the
``get-clipboard`` option. Requires tmux 3.7+; warns and is
ignored on older tmux (where ``-l`` is the legacy forward form).
