- **Module:** common
- **Package:** libtmux
- **Language:** TypeScript
- **Kind:** function

```
function assertSupportedTmux(version: string): void
```

Refuse a version report below {@link MINIMUM_TMUX}.

Reports rank as tmux ranks them: `3.3` is below `3.3a`, and a development
build ranks below the release it names, so `next-3.4` passes and `3.3a-rc`
does not. A report libtmux cannot place, such as `master`, is refused.

## Examples

```ts
assertSupportedTmux("3.3a");
assertSupportedTmux("next-3.9");
```

## Parameters

- `version` (`string`)

## Raises

- [`VersionTooLowError`](/en/ts/latest/reference/errors-versiontoolowerror/): when the report is below the minimum or unrecognized.
