Every tmux command a handle runs as its own tmux process is traced on the activity source and measured on the meter named here. Commands sent through a control client, including the reads a pane wait makes through one, are not. Subscribing takes the name, not a reference, so a caller wires OpenTelemetry without this library referencing it: builder.AddSource(TmuxDiagnostics.ActivitySourceName) and builder.AddMeter(TmuxDiagnostics.MeterName).
