Description#

tmux answers a command as soon as it has accepted it, not once the effect has landed, so code that acts and then reads immediately is racing the server. A fixed delay only hides that on an idle machine; waiting for the state itself is what makes the read say what it means. This is ordinary client work, not test scaffolding: reading back what a command produced is the common case, so it ships in the client rather than in LibTmux.Testing.
