Description#
tmux 3.4 alone puts a backslash before every
$that an ASCII letter,_, or{follows, in everything it prints: formats, listings, andshow-options -v. 3.5 stopped (692ce59b). Each escape is exactly one backslash in that position, so removing it restores the text on 3.4 and changes nothing elsewhere.3.4 through 3.5a also print a control character as a C escape or three octal digits,
\033for ESC, and leave a backslash as it is. That is not undone:\033could as well be those four characters, which aterminal-overridesentry often holds, so the text is left as tmux printed it.- Parameters
