Off by default, which leaves tmux's remedy for a client that falls behind: at five minutes it drops the connection with "too far behind", losing every other pane and every pending command with it.

Set, tmux instead discards what it held for the one pane that fell behind and emits pause. The connection asks the pane back and emits continue, so the pair records what was missed rather than needing a response.
